It is common for the hair is shed every day, and the fact that we lose to 100-125 hairs on any given day. Hair that is shed falls at the end of growth cycle. At some point, still 10% of hair in a so-called “silent phase” and after 2-3 months, the hair falls out and new hair grows in its place. Some people, however, is the experience of more hair loss than normal.
As we age, men and women have some hair loss. It is a normal part of aging. Called androgenetic alopecia, is for 95% of all hair loss. Androgentic Alopecia often runs in families and affects a number of people more than others. In men, it is often referred to as male pattern baldness.
It is based on a receding hairline and baldness on the top of the head. Women go to the other, are not completely bald, even if their hair seriously. Instead, hair loss is spread evenly over the entire scalp.
Hormones play a dominant role in the case of androgenetic alopecia. Simple put, both men and women are giving testosterone. Testosterone can be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. DHT shrinks hair follicles, which thicken the membranes in the scalp, too rigid and restrict blood flow. This causes the atrophy of hair follicles. Accordingly, when a hair does not fall, it is not replaced.
Needless to say, generate more testosterone than women and men experience more hair loss.
While androgenetic alopecia is the main reason why people experience hair loss, it is not alone. Medical conditions such as hypothyroidism, ringworm and fungal infections can cause hair loss. Some medications such as anticoagulants, gout medicines, the pill and can lead to too much vitamin A sudden or abnormal hair loss as one after a crash diet, sudden hormonal changes, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Emotional stress, pregnancy or surgery may also lead to turn our hair and is generally not noticed, has been held up to 3-4 months after the stressful event. Stress can lead to a slowdown in new hair growth because a larger number of follicles enter the cause in the resting phase and no new hair growth is experienced.
Another way in which individuals experience hair loss due to mechanical stress on the hair and scalp. Wear braids, cornrows or rollers that may eventually make the hair on the scalp and cause scarring hair loss sustainable. Hair products such as hot oil and chemical treatments for permanent support can be used to cause inflammation around the hair follicles, which, besides the scars and hair loss.
